If you had a good supply of quality meals, smoothies and snacks in your fridge, freezer or bag right now then you would consume it and there would be less opportunity for sugary, refined and processed foods. Make a strategic commitment, which means putting a plan in place that ensures you have more than enough high-quality nutrition around at all times. In the absence of good food we eat nutrient-deficient processed foods and always regret it.

The perfect solution if you struggle with veggies?
Even if have a rocky love-hate, sceptical relationship with veggies,
you still know deep down that you need them! Intuitively we all know that good
food mostly comes from the fridges, freezers and fresh isles in the supermarket.
The problem with fresh healthy food is that it’s not convenient and it doesn’t taste
great on its own usually, it also goes off really quickly.
Do this for your gut health!
Being mindful of your gut bacteria is centre stage in the health industry, the more diverse your range of veg and fruit fibre the better. Your gut bacteria eat fibre and your physical health is heavily influenced by your the average of what you ate in the last 12 months. While it only takes a few days to
feel less bloated and settled of your eating habits. ed, you are actually the average of your eating
habits from the last 6-12 months. Aim for 90% real food, eat consciously. Studies
show that the best ways to improve your gut bacteria is to:
- Eat a wide
range of vegetables (eat some of everything)
- Stop eating
added sugar, artificial sugar and highly refined carbs (White Bread)
- Sleep well
(there are many hacks to improve your sleep)
- Exercise –
this does make a difference
- Avoid antibiotics if possible
Raw and cooked
A great tip: don’t only aim to eat the rainbow by including all colours of veg
and fruits, but also include raw and cooked versions where it’s practical.
Kids lunchboxes
Smoothies are great for kids lunch boxes too. Either defrost them in your
fridge, they will easily last for a week in the fridge. Or just let frozen
smoothies defrost during the morning. It’s important to realise that allowing
kids to drink products with added sugar and additives is going to negatively
affect their focus, emotions, health and performance in the long run. There
really should be an over 18 legal drinking age for sugary drinks. We need to
end teenage drinking.
What?
there's really no preservatives
Yes… absolutely, we have
Tequila and smoking!
